OK, so let’s not try to pretend that the main purpose of a hen weekend isn’t to get completely legless with your best mates.
That said, most brides-to-be at least want to give the impression that they’re doing something more interesting and exciting than just downing vodka shots in their living room.
Cue the Vinopolis Hen Party. It’s an interactive wine tasting and cocktail-making package held at the Vinopolis site near Borough Market in London.
The basic pagage is just £30 a head, for which you get a Prosecco reception, wine tasting, cocktail making and a gift for the bride-to-be.
If you want to make a whole day of it though, you’re better off booking in for the £80 a head package which includes a champagne reception with 3 different champagne tastings, a fabulous 3 course lunch at the Cantina restaurant and last, and most excitingly, a massive drinks tasting session called the Spirit of Vinopolis tour in which you’ll get to sample 5 regular wines, 2 absinthes, 2 rums, 3 whiskies, and a Bombay Sapphire cocktail.
Just make sure you give yourselves a few days before the wedding to recover from the hangover.
