New gift-finding service Giftassist.co.uk was created by a team of 3 online entrepreneurs, Rob Watson, Simon Morton and Nick Morton each with 10 years online retail experience. Sparked by a pub conversation about mutual frustrations at the approach of the Christmas shopping season, and the all-too-common “difficult relative” situation; Giftassist was born.
The site asks questions about a person’s character, age and gender and then comes up with gifts to match these characteristics from a host of online retailers. Shoppers are presented with a best matching gift, plus additional suggested matching gifts, meaning the user can maintain an element of choice and control, while saving time and legwork. Once the desired gift is chosen, the visitor can click straight through to purchase the gift online.
And the best bit… the service is totally free!
