love at first site: Muji

If your taste is more ‘clean lines and no clutter’ than ‘over-the-top frou frou’ then you’ll love Muji.
It’s quite different from most shops, and contains a weird mix of homewares, clothing, travel goods and gifts, but somehow it works. In fact, in Japan this place is so beloved that there’s even a term for fans of Muji: Mujirers.
Depending on where you live in the UK, you may or may not have one of these stores on your local high street. If you’re not familiar, it’s packed with simple Japanese-inspired products, mainly in plain neutral colours and with a strong focus on functionality.
If you don’t have one near you, you can shop the lot online at www.muji.eu
Here are a few of our favourite things on the site right now…
1. Simple floor light, £45
2. Clear acrylic table with magazine rack, £125
3. Plain cotton linen storage box, £15.95
