Shop fresh at the Virtual Farmers’ Market
We all rather like the idea of buying posh cheese and meats at local farmers’ markets, and somehow the food you buy from them does taste better than it does when you’ve bought it from Tesco.
Trouble is, we always forget when the markets are on, we wake up too late, or it’s raining. All in all, we don’t visit them as often as we’d like.
Well now you can browse the farmers’ stalls from home by clicking on to Virtual Farmers Market, a new site that brings together the wares of more than 45 UK farm suppliers.
The site is the first ever 3D Virtual Farmers Market, and it uses the latest games technology to allow you to ‘stroll around’ the market and even ‘meet’ the people that produce your food and drink by watching their video links.
Amazing, we’re hooked.
