Can’t afford to buy a show-stopping dress? Hire one

When you think of dress hire agencies, you’re imagining lots of frumpy lilac and pale blue numbers that even your nan would consider passé, right?
Well online shops are bringing the dress agency bang up to date.
girlmeetsdress.com, for example, is rental’s answer to Net-a-porter — the site stocks more than 140 dress styles, many current season, from the likes of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Basso & Brooke and Thakoon, in sizes 6 to 14, and the hire prices range from £24 to £215 for two nights, with £10 delivery.
There’s new stock every week, and dresses can be exchanged free of charge if they don’t fit.
If you have several parties looming but don’t fancy forking out hundreds for a different dress for each one, this could be your solution.
